The Genesis of the K.V.

1.             This Vidyalaya is one of the schools under the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body (registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860). The Sangathan was set up by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, to establish, administer and manage the Kendriya Vidyalayas.

2.         The Vidyalaya came into existence in the year 1988 under the Defence Sector. There were classes from Std I to Std VIII with a total school strength of 196 students.

3.         The Vidyalaya grew and there were classes upto Std XII, with the Science stream on offer. However from the session 2005-2006, +2 has closed  due to shortage of students and there were classes from Std I to Std X. This year i.e. 2009 the +2 system has been re-started.

4.         From 1988 upto March 2005, the Vidyalaya functioned in the huge building provided by the Factory authorities for the purpose.

5.         From April 2005, the Vidyalaya has been functioning from its own building.  It is situated on an area of sixteen acres in the Factory premises.
